ADDRESSING RAPE AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE
Every 2 minutes, another American is sexually assaulted. There is an average of 267,868 victims (age 12 or older) of sexual assault each year. 44% of victims are under age 18, and 80% are under age 30 (RAINN). The numbers are shocking, and the wounds are deep. Together, we have to act to change these alarming statistics. Education, friendship, feelings of belonging and other factors can all contribute to a culture where no forms of sexual violence are accepted. We have to provide people with the tools needed so they can fight the issue of rape and abuse.
“IT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU, BUT HOW YOU
RESPOND TO IT THAT MATTERS”
ADDRESSING LIFE CHALLENGES
Throughout life, we all face challenges of different kinds. Whether it is a personal battle, the loss of a loved one, a traumatic experience or a terrible heartace, listening to a story of hope and healing can be all we need to get back up and start the journey towards a happier and healthier life. It’s all about the decision-the decission to get back up and start over. Listening to the challenges of others helps us get our own in perspective, and seeing others succeed gives us strength and hope for the future.
